Privacy Policy
How KolhanHub handles your data and protects your privacy.
Last updated: 17 September 2026
Overview
KolhanHub (kolhanhub.in) is an independent, free student resource platform. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we use data.
In short: We only collect personal information (name, phone number) when you voluntarily submit it through our Request Paper form. We use basic analytics to understand how students use the site. We never sell or share your data with third parties.
Information We Collect
Information You Voluntarily Provide
When you use our "Request Paper" feature, you may choose to provide:
- Your name (optional) — so we can identify your request
- WhatsApp / contact number — so we can notify you when the requested paper is uploaded
- Subject and semester details — to understand what paper you need
This information is submitted voluntarily and is stored securely in a private spreadsheet. It is used solely to fulfill your request and is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for marketing purposes.
Download Tracking
When you click a download button (for PYQs, syllabus, or notes), we record which file was downloaded and when. This helps us understand which resources are most useful and prioritize adding new content. No personal information is linked to download events — we only track the file name, category, and timestamp.
Automatically Collected Information
Like most websites, we automatically collect basic, anonymized usage data through Google Analytics:
- Pages you visit and time spent on each page
- General device type (mobile/desktop) and browser
- General geographic region (country/state level only)
- How you found us (Google search, direct link, etc.)
This data is anonymized and aggregated. We do not track individual users across sessions, and we do not collect email addresses, roll numbers, IP addresses, or browsing history outside of this website.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how students use our website. This helps us know which pages are most useful, which subjects need more PYQs, and how to improve the site.
Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymized data. It does NOT collect personal information. You can learn more about how Google uses data at Google's Privacy & Terms.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
